Reports are also claiming that the Google Pixel XL 2 will be manufactured by LG electronics company. Nonetheless, the original Google Pixel XL is expected to be replaced by a new model with an even bigger screen, dubbed as Taimen.
Tech enthusiasts will have to wait patiently to avail the official announcement about Google’s upcoming smartphones for 2017. However, latest reports about the tech giant’s new Pixel smartphones have been surfacing online. It has been said that Google has canceled the successor model of Google Pixel XL, called Muskie. The search engine giant is reportedly replacing this model with the bigger Taimen, which could be the ultimate Pixel XL 2 mobile device, Android Police reported.
Meanwhile, reports are now indicating that LG will manufacture the bigger Pixel XL 2 handset. Nonetheless, the Taiwanese mobile company HTC, manufactured Google’s two smartphones last year, the Google Pixel as well as the Pixel XL, 9To5 Google reported.
Tech fans and experts are expecting HTC would be the only manufacturer of the next-gen Pixel smartphones in 2017. However, a different picture has now surfaced and it appears that LG will only build the Google Pixel’s successor.
In spite of that, the Google Pixel Taimen was spotted on a benchmarking website. The Google Pixel Taimen is listed with a multi-core score of 6,248 and a single-core test score of 1,804. Google’s upcoming mobile device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with a 4GB of RAM.
Also, the Google Pixel 2 is anticipated to have a 7MP front facing camera and a 12MP rear shooter. Google’s highly anticipated flagship smartphone will arrive with an Adreno 540 graphics and the Google Pixel XL 2 is expected to have a $769 price tag.
