Apple's New MacBook Keyboard Looks Lit

#Apple #MacBook – Apple’s New MacBook Keyboard Looks Lit : After the underwhelming laptop releases in 2016, Apple is trying to make things right. One of the ways the tech giant thought of to bring glory back to its laptop line is to give the MacBook a new keyboard.

During this year’s version of the Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC, Apple unveiled a flurry of new devices along with some highly anticipated software. Somewhat lost in the shuffle is the new MacBook. That doesn’t mean, however, that the new MacBook should be taken lightly.

The MacBook has taken a backseat since the MacBook Pro and even the MacBook Air came to town. That doesn’t mean, however, that Apple has nothing new up its sleeves. As a matter of fact, Apple has released an updated MacBook which comes with the latest Kaby Lake processors. That alone should be enough to stir excitement among diehard MacBook fans but to make sure consumers will line up for the new laptop, Apple decided to alter its keyboard a bit.

According to Tech Crunch, among the refinements done on the new MacBook is to improve its keyboard. The previous MacBook models had what Tech Crunch described as a flat and under-responsive keyboard.

What Apple did was to integrate an updated butterfly mechanism on the new MacBook. These butterfly switches are the same ones that the tech company used on the new MacBook Pro as well as the one from last year. The new MacBook keyboard sports the same layout and key travel but the feel has improved a lot.

While the new MacBook does have a better keyboard, The Verge believes it is still not enough to turn the tide. According to The Verge, the new MacBook will likely be still slower than the MacBook Pro so for those who value speed, the latter is the better choice.

Aside from the updated processors and the improved keyboard, the new MacBook sports a faster SSD and slightly new look. The new MacBook will sell for a base price of $1,299.
